I shit my pants today…as a grown adult. I shit my pants. No warning; no inkling it might happen; it just happened.

“Um, gross? Why is that any of my business…What’s wrong with this guy?” you’re probably thinking. Fair enough, but hear me out.

I think there are valuable life lessons gained from an experience like this. Our character evolves from life’s experiences. This type of event is humbling, it forces you to think on your feet, and hopefully it teaches you to take yourself a little less seriously.

It happens

I’ll be the first to admit (even though most don’t) that I have shit myself, on more than one occasion, as a grown adult. Never in my life before now, have I shit my pants without earning it. I knew I shouldn’t have eaten the gas station sushi, two weeks is a touch too long for leftovers…you get the picture; it happens.

Maybe it happens more than it should…

There have been times that I knew I had to go but told myself I could wait until a little later, just to have my whole world crumble when a little later was too long. The time I had to go right then and there, and had no choice but to drop trough in the woods to do the deed…only to realize my aim was off and I STILL shit my pants.
